Women's Golf Wraps Up Fall Season in a Tie for 15th at Flagler Fall Slam
October 25, 2011ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Anderson women’s golf team closed out its fall slate by finishing in a tie for 15th Tuesday afternoon at the 2011 Flagler College Fall Slam played at the par 72, 6,062 yard Marsh Creek Country Club.
Senior Kalyn Johnson (88-81=169) trimmed seven strokes off her opening-round effort and finished in a tie for 59th, while senior Laura Buyers (85-89=174) slipped four shots from Monday’s first round, finishing tied for 74th, along with sophomore Katie Eskew (93-81=174), who sliced 12 strokes off her first-round scorecard.
Freshman Sarah Timms (91-85=176) also improved by six shots from Monday, finishing two shots further back in a tie for 78th. Junior Lindsay Parks (89-89=178) carded an 89 each day and finished in a tie for 82nd.
The Trojans open their spring schedule at the Ann Rhoads Invitational, Feb. 18-20, in Birmingham, Ala.
