Trojan Grapplers Drop Two at Davidson
February 7, 2012DAVIDSON, N.C. – Anderson sophomores Nick Giuliette and Dan Telhada each earned a pair of wins, but the Trojan wrestling team fell, 35-15, to St. Andrews and 37-9 to hos Davidson Tuesday night at Belk Arena.
Telhada earned his first win of the night with a convincing, 8-2, decision past St. Andrews’ Kody Getkin at 149 pounds, then blanked Davidson’s Kevin Birmingham, 6-0 in the second match.
Giuliette pinned the Knights’ Nick Sauceda at the five minute mark of their 157-pound bout and also pinned the Wildcats’ Dan Hagemann with 4:26 elapsed in their matchup.
Anderson will get back in action this weekend with a pair of road matches. The Trojans visit Shippensburg on Friday and UP-Johnstown on Saturday.
