WILLARD NAMED TO CROSS COUNTRY ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
NEW ORLEANS -- Diana Willard of Anderson University has been named to the 2007 NCAA Division II USTFCCCA Women's Cross Country All-Academic team. A total of 202 student-athletes from 99 Division II programs were named to the team. The University of Tampa led all Division II institutions with seven members on the team. To qualify for individual academic honors, the student-athlete must have completed 24 semester or 36 quarter hours and have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. The student-athletes also must finish in the top 30 percent of individual participants at their respective regional cross country championships. Willard, a junior from Pelion, S.C., recorded four top five finishes in '07, including a second-place finish in the region meet.
