LAURINBURG, N.C. -- Using an impressive .333 hitting percentage,
the Anderson volleyball team spoiled St. Andrews' Senior Day
celebration by defeating the Knights, 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-15) in
Conference Carolinas play Saturday afternoon. The Trojans (18-11
Overall; 10-5 Conf.) won their third straight match behind an 18
kill performance by junior Jamie Lancaster, who finished with a
staggering .567 hitting percentage. AU has now claimed victories in
seven of their last eight outings. Junior Lindsay Doggett led
Anderson's defense that held St. Andrews to a negative .017 hitting
percentage with team-high totals of 10 digs and five blocks.
Doggett was also productive on the offensive side of the ball with
six kills on seven swings while serving up a match-high five aces.
The Trojans wrap up their three-game conference road swing by
visiting rival Erskine on Tuesday. First-serve versus the Flying
